The guys discuss some of Deryck’s earliest influences, including how the Sex Pistols, NOFX, and Pennywise influenced his career. He also looks back at the bidding war that surrounded Sum 41, and the way things took off for the band when “Fat Lip” became a massive hit. Deryck explains why an MTV performance alongside Tommy Lee from Motley Crue and Rob Halford of Judas Priest was one of the most important moments in his career. He also discusses the pressure he was put under when creating Sum 41’s sophomore album, a process he describes as “tortuous.” Deryck gives Stryker an update on Sum 41’s upcoming double album, Heaven and Hell. The guys also chat about Michigander breaking his leg in three places while filming a music video to how his wife was severely injured in a terrible accident.

Ted Stryker welcomes to Tuna on Toast, the super talented Frank Iero!
Frank, as you know, is a member of My Chemical Romance as well as the SUPER GROUP L.S. Dunes!
L.S. Dunes features Anthony Green, Travis Stever, Tim Payne and Tucker Rule. Their full length album titled "Past Lives" is now available! It's an awesome 11 songs!
Frank and Stryker discuss playing The Troubadour, Frank at one point thought The Troubadour was his kryptonite. The guys also talk about recording the L.S. Dunes album and Frank getting severely injured falling off a ladder that could have been way worse than it actually was (and it already was bad)
The guys talk about how playing music with friends is not always easy.
Frank shares how well bands like Underoath treated My Chemical Romance when they were a younger band. He also gives love to Face to Face and Green Day.
Frank tells Stryker how the My Chemical Romance song Foundations of Decay" came to be.
Frank Iero is so talented with a creative drive that is inspiring. I'm super appreciative we got to spend some time talking. Thank you, Frank!

Dustin and Stryker talk about the early years of Thrice, growing up in Irvine, and working at Green Fly.
The guys chat about Thrice signing to a major label and what that process was like.
Dustin reveals HIS favorite Thrice albums of all time! They also talk about hearing their song on the radio and walking the fine line between being nostalgic and and relying on the good ol days.
Dustin and the guys from Thrice are so talented and deserve all the credit in the world.

Ted Stryker welcomes the incredibly talented Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy to Tuna on Toast!
Fall Out Boy release their new album "So Much (for) Stardust on March 24th, 2023. As we sit here today (March 2), the band has the number one song in the country with "Love From the Other Side". Their very first number 1!! The guys discuss what was the inspiration for the song...Pete also explains why not going back to the well of what Fall Out Boy created 15-20 years ago was so important when making the new album. He did not want a retread.
Pete talks about all the rejection letters FOB received from record labels all those years ago before the release of "Take This to Your Grave". Pete recalls a show in Wisconsin when his current manager Bob McLynn was at that show and saw that rawness and spark!
Pete tells the story of how he (Pete) signed Panic! At the Disco and the messages he received from Ryan Ross and Brendon Urie.
Pete mentions the "magic" that Turnstile has as well has Lana Del Rey and Lorde!
Stryker and Pete talk about how Tim McIlrath from Rise Against is like his brother and that they were in many bands together growing up.
Pete shares that he really wants the young artists out there to break through.
It was such a treat to chat with Pete Wentz, he's a huge talent and a really good dude (I'll see about his golf game in person)

The making of the new album "Asking for a Ride" and the difficulties in completing their 4th full length. Tony also tells Stryker how the song "Pages" came together. They also talk about the journey from when their debut album was released released in 2015...to the "The Worlds Best American Band" to "You Deserve Love" in 2019.
The guys talk about how finally White Reaper got to tour with Pearl Jam, post show hangouts with Eddie Vedder, and the excitement of the upcoming White Reaper headlining tour.
Tony talks to Stryker about his surprise when "Might be Right" hit number one on radio.

SSPU release their 6th full length album titled Physical Thrills on August 19th. Brian talks to Stryker about working once again with the legend himself Butch Vig! This episode is filled with so many random and funny weird conversations..From Brady Bunch Trivia to discussing the movie Jaws, Godzilla, Universal Studios and the Fast and Furious franchise. Brian tells Stryker that The Rock IS the reason why those Fast movies are so good! Brian and Stryker discuss Silversun Pickups history, from the early shows in Los Angeles, to getting signed by Q Prime Artist Management and all the fun stories that go with it. The guys also talk about Kate Bush and Stranger Things, SSPU has been playing "Running up that Hill" pre-show for a while. Brian also tells Stryker about the email he sent to Ed O'Brien from Radiohead to tell him how much he appreciates Radiohead and the EOB guitar that he's been using. Ed wrote Brian back!
